Petrolatum Paste

Description

Paste is a soft brown petrolatum primer containing moisure displacing corrosion inhibiting compounds for application of brush or gloved hand at normal temperature. It does not crack, dry, or harden.

Mainly used as a primer prior to the application of petrolatum tapes. Petro-Paste will penetrate existing rust, displace moisture, pacify the surface and aid the adhesion of tapes and mastics.

Uses

For long-life corrosion protection, sealing and waterproofing of atmospheric buried and submerged metal surfaces.

The high degree of conformability allows for application over irregular surface profiles including gas utility, sewer, potable water, mining,

and wastewater applications.

Application

Apply a thin coat Petro-Paste. The Paste shall be applied to threads, cavaties, shoulders, pits and other irregularities.

Minimal surface preparation (SSPC SP 2-3)

Can be applied in any climate

Can be applied to wet surfaces or underwater.

No V.O.C.’s

No need experiences. Apply easily.
